Five Tabs, Zero Clarity: A simpler way to track your projects

By Precious••2 min read

Is my project actually on track? Here are the 5 tabs it takes to find out.

Ask any founder whether their project is on track, and you’ll likely hear, “I think so”. Ask them how they know, and the answer gets a little quieter. Here is what usually happens behind that “I think so”.

Tab one is GitHub or GitLab. You scroll through recent commits and open pull requests, looking for signs of life. There’s plenty of activity, but activity and progress are not always the same thing.

Tab two is Linear or Trello. You review the tasks. Some are done, a few are stuck, and one has been “in progress” for three weeks, quietly waiting for someone to admit it.

Tab three is Vercel or your servers. You check whether the last deployment went through, and when something users can actually see was last shipped.

Tab four is Google Drive. You open the strategy doc you wrote with so much hope, just to remind yourself what “on track” was supposed to mean.

Tab five is the spreadsheet. Growth, users, revenue, all the numbers you promised to follow. It was last updated two weeks ago, so you spend ten minutes catching it up before you can read it.

By now you have five tabs open, a rough picture in your head, and a feeling. A feeling is a kind thing to rely on, but it makes a poor status report. The trouble is that each tool tells only its own part of the story. A blocker sits in one place while a slow release sits in another, and nobody sees them side by side. The more tools a team adds, the easier it becomes for something important to slip through the gaps.
So most founders do not actually have a project health problem.

They have a visibility problem. The answer is out there, scattered across places that never speak to each other.

This is what we are building BAFOS to solve.

It’s not a project management app to replace your stack. it’s an automated project monitor. It plugs directly into the tools you already use to show you progress, blockers, and release rhythm in one clean view.

Stop guessing your project’s health across five open tabs.

It comes out in standups, in investor updates, and in the quiet moments when you are lying awake wondering about the product. It feels like knowledge. It rarely is.Think about how that confidence gets built. The […]
